Following the Government’s recent announcement regarding changes that will be coming into effect on 17th May 2021, we can confirm that the number of mourners allowed to attend a service will be changing.
Each venue will determine how many mourners can be safely
accommodated whilst social distancing guidelines are followed.
The following changes have been confirmed:
North Oxfordshire Crematorium & Memorial Park: 68 mourners.
The Churchill Pavilion will be available for post-service drinks, with a
maximum of 42 guests
South Oxfordshire Crematorium & Memorial Park: 57 mourners.
(For South and North Oxfordshire Crematorium, if numbers exceed 57 and 68 respectively, the outside speakers will be turned on and doors will remain open if requested. Please note that mourners will not be permitted to stand in the lobby)
Oxford Crematorium:
St John’s Chapel: 56 people. Please note that from 21st May – 2nd June St John’s Chapel will be closed for refurbishment.
Memorial Chapel: 25 mourners. Memorial Chapel will remain open during the refurbishment of St John’s Chapel.
Banbury Crematorium: 50 mourners.
If your loved one is having a service in Church, we will confirm how many mourners will be able to be accommodated as this will vary between
Churches.
Please note that face coverings must still be worn whilst inside, and that social distancing guidelines must be adhered to.
